wish ehtray worked on my PC... I ran a repair install and now Media Center doesn't work anymore and I get an error stating that it is unable tos start ehtray.exe. :/ M$ really needs to test their stuff better.

See, I would reinstall Media Center and just take care of this whole mess but M$ has flagged my copy of Windows for some reason as non-Genuine. :/ Not exactly sure where they got that idea, as It's my only copy install on my sinlge machine (Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop). I've reinstall this copy of Windows before, but only on the same machine. Once again, M$ should really test their stuff better. Ahh well, what can you do?

You can reinstall your OS from the Dell install CD.  It will be genuine.  No serial # involved.

The problem is, the information given doesn't actually explain what ehtray.exe is or does. Obviously it's something to do with Media Center, but what exactly? Is it the whole thing? Or some sort of start-up hook, or what? What effect would disabling this start-up entry have, exactly?

I think the information given in the TweakVista Start Up screen could be improved.
