ok, the new theme manager, i love the new interface it standarsizes all the applications.
now to the nitty gritty.
adding new theme/suites, upon close and reload of the program they are no longer there
saving current desktop displays a message saying you cannot save a my colours theme even though the theme i am using is not my colours.
when closing the program it does not close completely leaving itself resident in memory and one has to manually kill it in task manager to get it to load again.
try to apply a theme and nothing happens, it brings up the advanced options to choose what parts you would like to apply and click ok and nothing happens.
Oh, I have LogonXP and even make my own skins. The last time I tried Bootskins, it was so buggy, I gave up on it. Other than that, I am good. Gonna hold out until 7 comes out, and see how well it does. I really don't see me buy and upgrading every new OS that comes out, so I will stick with what I have, and still pout. LOL ~_^
OH! I just started playing with it now....LogonXP and bootskins still load up in a theme, so although it's not listed as an application, it still functions as an application. YEAH!
So far I really like the look of theme manager, it matches the updated look of WB
That is a good question, we will have to think about how to handle that.
I gave this thing a thorough run through (i.e., I used all the features). It will install most things on the first theme I install (just not the Desktop X widgets, and as mentioned in an earlier post by someone, it doesn't allow Desktop X objects to be imported into a theme). But when I install a different theme after the first one, it doesn't change the Windowblind, it leaves the one from the first theme I installed in place.
Zubaz made a theme using urls, emailed it to me and I tried to use it. It installed in the manager ok and when I clicked Apply it came up and told me it would need to download 4 different files and I said yes. That's as far as I got. I was watching the network adapter using Samurize and I din't even see a bump in outgoing or incoming traffic. I'm on XP Pro SP3. Thememanager 2.99[b].032 (x86)
The package was created using only skins that were downloaded. Nothing on my HD.
I verified that none of the components were on my PC and tried to apply the theme. (available on request via email). I was prompted to download the skins . . and then nothing.
It will load up DesktopX Themes though.
[quote who="k10w3" reply="18" id="1927036"]It doesn't support Logon XP? Will LogonStudio Vista work on XP? (I wanted to hold on to XP at least until Windows 7 was out of beta and released to the public)
Just wondering k10w3... Have you tried loading up Logon XP skins with ThemeManager? I ask because I am on Vista and when I load up old Suites'
ThemeManager can see the LogonXP skins but it tells me dont have it installed' naturally so of being on Vista.
I borked the quoting
Thats what I get for not reading all the posts.
Applications, Logons tab:: My logon previews are not being displayed, I can only see the default one. Anyone else having the same problem?
In Applications tab, Tab Icon is not giving the default IconPackager Folder but the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Stardock\IconPackager one which is an error. Icons even for MyColors MUST be stored in the folder defined in IconPackager
Still in Aplications tab, Cursors are giving 11 themes coming from nowhere but as sure not from the correct C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Stardock\CursorFX\Themes folder
The Tab Logon MUST be changed for LogonXP / Logon Vista
There's a bug in the Wallpaper section not showing the correct directory choosen
OK. I have installed without a problem. The only thing that I am having trouble with is adding a folder to wallpapers.
I add the folder I want, however when I click on it nothing happens. Exit and open again and the folder I added disappears.
I am using Vista HP 32 bit
I have one drive with 3 Partitions. Operating system on C: and the folder I want to add is on D:

Same problem
Vista Home Premium SP1. Experience factor 3.4 (whatever that's called)
I find that the program is heavy on CPU usage. I am using Intel E6750 dual core and when using theme manager usage is around 50-60%. Normally it is around 5-10%. Even after closing theme manager it appears to be working in the background as CPU usage does not drop until I reboot the system.
Also the only logon that appears is the Windows default.
Dreams do not load. I only have that little torch searching for them.
Cursor pictures do not show for all the cursors. I am not sure if this has something to do with with cursor XP and cursor FX!!!
I know that this is a Beta version and I believe that when these bugs are resolved it will be a great program.
Keep up the good work.
My suspicions about the cursor preview appears to be correct. Only the FX cursor pack previews show up in Theme Manager 3. The Cursor XP previews do not.
